Position Statements

Motorcycle/Rider types:

MARS seeks to promote and support overall rider safety. It doesn’t matter what type of motorcycle you ride, Street, Track or Dirt our goal is to support all types motorcycling.

Rider Education:

MARS believes that rider education is the only way to effectively build rider confidence and awareness. Becoming a life-long learner will positively affect rider safety making an impact for the reduction of crashes and fatalities. As a safety organization, this is one of our primary goals.

Riding Gear:

MARS always promotes the use of proper riding gear. Our plans are to compile as much research on the effectiveness and comfort of many different brands as types of gear. This will allow riders to make more educated decisions before purchasing safety gear.

Awareness:

The majority of multiple vehicle accidents are cause by an inattentive, unaware driver pulling into the path of a rider. This is a serious issue that has affected nearly everyone who rides. The use of public service channels, the media and community events, we plan to spread rider awareness to the millions of drivers who are simply not paying attention.

Rider Rights:

There are political forces at work daily, trying to take away our rights as riders. Were we can ride, and sometimes what we can ride repeated come under attack. Drivers who kill motorcyclist through negligent and irresponsible driving are being let off will little more than a slap on the wrist. In many cases never seeing any jail time or even losing their license. We will work, in conjunction with other safety organization, to effect legislative change to protect our right and prosecute those who take ours.
